The Caravanserail of Okuz Mehmet Pacha, which has been constructed by the Grand Vizier in 1618, is situated at the center of Kusadasi. Being restored in 1966, it still carries the highlights of its Seljuk and Ottoman origins and today, it serves as the main accommodation and recreation centre in town.
